I hate the fact that the Mercedes G-Class is the most expensive, and in some ways, the worst luxury SUV on the market, but it's still my most favorite.

Out of these 3 the XLcalade is the best choice, bang for buck wise, but I'd still have the Range Rover personally...

I know, and since i'll probably never buy one of these 3 I'm only dreaming here. The thing is that when I look at these 3 I think:

Oh look! a Kardashian! (Merc)

Oh look! a Soccer Mom! (Caddy)

Oh look! a fashion designer! (Range Rover)

Personally, I'd rather look like a fashion designer or an MI6 agent. shame that British motors tend to be unreliable

Its a niche vehicle. Unlike the escalade where the price reflects a buyers premium, I suspect the G550's price reflects a large part of the R+D of the updates. They simply do not sell enough volume to make a large profit on these cars.

That's how I'll be purchasing any of my unreliable lux-cars. (RRS Supercharged, S8, M6 GC, etc...) when I come to age of affordability.

I'd include the GL63 on this list, it's gorgeous and insanely fast/capable for what it is...or period. There's plenty of "sporty" cars that would have a hard time keeping up with it on the road.
